Night Dive - Bicton Baths
Night Dive and a feed? Yeah!
The moon, the tides and the hunger will all coincide next Wednesday night to bring some of us together at Bicton Baths to go hunting for a feed, something to photograph or just an excuse for a look around at some of the bizarre critters that come out to play in the river at night.
Everyone's welcome to come and join us, meeting in the carpark at the southern end of Blackwall Reach Pde around 19:00 and hitting the water at 19:30. Don't forget to bring two torches, a compass and (preferably) a slate to keep track of your movements ready for a happy return to shore. Of course, gloves, nets, catch bags, cameras etc are also important depending on what you want to do!
The water is a little chilly at the moment, so remember to suit up accordingly: I'm comfy in a two piece 5mm suit with a 5mm hood but your mileage may vary there. More importantly, bring yourself a nice warm and dry change of clothes and towel for when you get out of the water.
If you intend coming along, please send Simon an email so we don't find something else to do on the night.
