A weekend getaway to Rottnest Island where the azure waters of the Indian Ocean, beckon UWA underwater club members seeking adventure. Your journey begins with a scenic ferry ride from the mainland, the sea breeze teasing your senses as you approach this idyllic island paradise. Equipped with your own diving gear, and 2 tanks, you meet the clubs boat Doris penned at the pub jetty and are quickly ferried to nearby diving spots to plunge into the crystal-clear waters, discovering a kaleidoscope of marine life.

After a day of underwater exploration, you resurface to savour the island’s laid-back atmosphere. Enjoy a beachside barbecue as the sun dips below the horizon, casting hues of pink and orange across the sky. The evening is spent recounting the day’s adventures with fellow divers, sharing stories and laughter under the twinkling stars.

What you need to bring? 

Your own return tickets booked on the ferry.

• Your own dive Equipment – At a minimum including 2 full tanks, a dive torch (for night dives) and a SMB
• Members have to bring their own sheet/pillow case or a sleeping bag.
• Your 2 tanks can be dropped at Aquarama Thurday Evening prior, for transport to the island.
