It’s time to head back down to Dunsborough for another long weekend of diving the HMAS Swan and the amazing waters around Cape Naturaliste. We plan to do 6 boat dives (Sat, Sun, Mon) and there’s always the option to organise your own shore / night dives if you want more.

We have two ticket options:

• Option 1 (12 places): This year we’ve booked a secluded house situated in semi-rural Quinadalup, which is a short 10 minute drive to the Quindalup Boat Ramp. In addition to privacy, comfort and cleanliness, we will also have plenty of secure parking for cars and Doris, relaxing indoor and outdoor living areas, a fire pit and wash / drying areas for dive gear. This is a significant step up from the facilities of our usual accommodation, the local backpackers. This option includes 3 nights accommodation, all boat dives, 3 breakfasts, 3 lunches, 2 dinners (Sat, Sun) and snacks.
• Option 2 (4 places): For those wanting to stay elsewhere, we also have the boat Diving-Only option which includes the 6 boat dives in 3 days.

Air fills:

• The Club plans to take a couple of compressors and charge members a nominal cost for fills. This will be costed separately depending on how many fills you need.

How will the weekend run? 

• The plan for the weekend is for everyone to make their own way down to Dunsborough on Friday afternoon / evening.
• The group will be divided into two dive groups that will alternate between morning and afternoon dives over the course of the weekend.
• We will slip Doris into the sweet waters of Geographe Bay early on Saturday morning, ready for the morning dive group. Around midday, Doris will return to the boat ramp and the afternoon group will go out for their dives.
• On Monday we’ll aim to have Doris back on her trailer by mid afternoon, ready for the drive back to Perth.
• Please note that there may be a chance to enjoy a long dive for anyone with the suitable training otherwise dives will be 60 min max.

IMPORTANT: We are a club operated by volunteers that love to dive. If you are attending this trip you will be required to contribute to the running of the weekend which may include cooking and/or cleaning up after meals; helping to set up, launch, retrieve and clean the boat; boat sitting (while divers are in the water); fill tanks etc.

This trip is a Club favourite and will fill fast, so be quick! Cancellations requiring refunds will incur a nominal fee.
